Gathering 2024
DAY 3

Two words: Conscious and Manifestation.

The first word, conscious, means to be aware - aware of your inner and of your outer reality - to be present. It is from this place of awareness that we manifest our thoughts, dreams and visions. The second word, manifestation, means that which was thought and desired is now experienced in our physical reality.

Eckhart Tolle: Although we find ourselves living in increasingly distressing times, there also now lies a hidden opening for a radical shift in consciousness. Whenever there is an extreme form of adversity, an equally powerful opportunity also arises. Often people ask about finding their purpose and how this connects to spiritual awakening and the shift in consciousness that may be occurring. Your life purpose unfolds through the activities that you engage in on the dimension of DOING. Equally important is the spiritual dimension of BEING. All manifestation is not equal. If you are primarily creating through the veil of your mental and emotional conditioning – what we call the ego – manifestation is often stressful and counter productive in the long run. On the other hand, when we create from the BEING state of consciousness we become an expression of the creative intelligence of the universe – and someone who helps further human evolution at this time.

THE LAW OF ATTRACTION

from Esther Hicks

The process of manifestation is clearly understood in three essential steps: Asking, Believing, and Receiving.  We may embark on a transformative journey that explores the profound power of our thoughts and feelings to shape our reality that is our inner state of being.  While the Law of Attraction operates universally, the Law of Deliberate Creation requires active participation. It encourages individuals to identify and focus on specific desires, investing both mental and emotional energy into manifesting these goals.  The Law of Allowing focuses on the importance of letting go and accepting the unfolding of the events without resistance.  It requires faith and trust in the universe.

THOUGHTS

from The Daily OM

Our thoughts are powerful forces in the creation of our experience of life.  You may be able to recall a time when frustration from a misunderstanding completely evaporated when your understanding changed. This is because our interpretation defines our experience, and it can change in an instant.  Our only true reality is the present moment, so rather than merely accepting that life is happening to us, we can harness the power of our thoughts to actively create a positive reality.  For example, we can choose to appreciate beauty around us rather than focusing on traffic, or we can look for admirable qualities in people rather than centering on the negative.  By choosing how to interpret and define each moment, you truly create your reality.

Throughout the day, we can monitor our thoughts to catch ourselves when we are investing our energy elsewhere – such as self-limiting beliefs.  Instead, we can pull our focus back to the infinite possibilities of the present.  Taking a deep breath will help us center our thoughts on being in our bodies right now.  Regular meditation allows us to gain mastery over our minds so that we can quiet our thoughts to focus on the pureness of being.  If we mentally dwell on the past or the future, we may miss the experience of living in the present moment.  Setting and visualizing goals is wonderful, but we can bring our thoughts into our current experience by taking steps to create them now.

Our minds are powerful tools that we can harness to create our reality.  Through them we move the unformed energy of the universe into form, which gives us direction for our words and actions.  Each thought is like a stone dropped into a lake, sending ripples out into our world to affect all they touch.  We can choose our focus and how we invest our energy, empowering us to design our lives to be whatever we choose in each and every moment.

Esther Hicks, through Abraham, teaches that every thought vibrates, every thought radiates a signal, and every thought attracts a matching signal back.  It is then up to us to hold ourselves consistently in vibrational harmony with those desires in order to receive their manifestation.

Catherine Ponder offers three ways we may do this:

1. Become aware of our thoughts, and intentionally think positive thoughts, letting the negative thoughts go,  Practice being the “silent witness” to what you are thinking.

Does this thought make you feel good?  If so, allow this thought room to grow. If not, recognize that it is only a thought and not necessarily reality, so just watch it pass on through without giving it the emotional juice to allow it to grow and attract other negative  thoughts.  Remember, only you can control what you think, and what you dwell upon, you attract to you.  You can assist yourself in having positive, feel-good thoughts by writing positive affirmations to be repeated to yourself throughout the day.  Eventually these affirmations become beliefs, and the process of manifestation is accelerated.  Be aware when you are experiencing negative thoughts, and replace them immediately with a positive spin.  It is helpful to focus on your breathing, allowing your breath to take you to a neutral space where you can receive a better-feeling thought. This must be intentional on your part.  Do whatever helps you clear your mind - spend time in nature, listen to music, chant, meditate, use mantras, exercise, or be creative in your own way.  This helps to reset your thinking patterns so the positive thoughts can emerge.  Remember that there is within you a wisdom that is all knowing. It knows what you should do and how to do it, and is revealing this information to your conscious understanding. All you need to do is allow space for these thoughts to come in.

2. Speak consciously, and never speak in opposition to what you want.  For example, do not say “I want to do such and such, but I know it will never happen.” Give voice to your desire. Speak in alignment with what you want.  It has been estimated that the spoken word of one’s desire can speed up results by as much as 80%.  The words utter and outer have similar roots.  What you utter becomes outer in your world.  Be definite in your words about what you want manifested.  When you speak positive affirmations, a tremendous force is set up in the invisible that definitely affects substance, molding it into tangible results.

3. Visualize what it is you want to see manifest.  Capture an image and hold onto it in your imagination. The action of the mind is to picture. This picturing power of the mind has been discovered by psychologists, who say that imagination is one of our strongest mind powers. This picturing activity is one of the oldest devices known to man for getting what he wanted. Prehistoric man carved on the walls of his cave pictures of the food he hoped to attain.  He believed that, as he looked at those pictures often, an unseen Power would bring the food near him in the form of game, fish, or fowl.  You are constantly picturing for yourself and for others, either something good or something bad.  How much more constructive it is to deliberately picture something good for others, rather than to continue picturing problems for them. The picturing power of the mind turns your thinking from “I cannot have this,”  or “it will never happen to me,” to hope, belief, and finally to mental acceptance that “it can happen to me,” and “it will happen to me.”  If you are not consciously picturing what you want in a constructive way, you are unconsciously picturing what you do not want in a destructive way, and you continue to hold problems to you. Instead of fighting problems, picture your way out of them.  Vague hopes and indefinite goals are not convincing to the mind, whereas a clearcut picture of the good we want activates people, places, and events to cooperate with our pictured desires.  Deliberately picturing the good you want is a primary way to accelerate manifestation.  By unifying our thoughts, words, and imagination, the vibration becomes stronger, and a clear pathway for manifestation is established.  A good rule of thought to follow is simply to picture your desired good, then let it come as, when, and through whom it may.

More Inspirational Excerpts

“ When you practice good-feeling thoughts, and are, therefore, more in control of your vibrational  atmosphere, then you are able to respond to the things that are happening in the world from your practiced place of alignment rather than from a reactionary place.  That is what  the Art of Allowing is all about.”  -Abraham

The highest vibration is that of love and appreciation, and these kinds of thoughts accelerate the process.

“Love and appreciation are identical vibrations.  Appreciation is the vibration of alignment with who-you-are.  Appreciation is the absence of everything that feels bad and the presence of everything that feels good.  When you focus upon what you want – when you tell the story of how you want your life to be – you will come closer and closer to the vicinity of appreciation, and when you reach it, it will pull you towards all things that you consider to be good in a very powerful way.”  -Abraham

Ideally as we grow in consciousness, we will get to the place where our only desire is to experience our oneness with the Divine, and as we abide in that realization, all of our needs and desires are met.

Day 3 Talking Points
